Cricket Holiday Special 2012

Happy Holidays from "Cricket!" I wish you and yours a peaceful holiday season and a great start to the new year! As a gift, here's just a small taste of where the comic is moving artistically in the near-future. I've already had a lot more practice with these characters than I've shown so-far, so I thought I'd share with you all some of my progress. I hope the two of them get you into the festive spirit!

...Aaaaand with that, I should probably let you know that I'll be taking next week off due to New Years'. I figure no one is waiting with baited breath for the next comic (...yet, ha, ha!) and it will help me maintain a reasonable buffer for the time being. Take care, and see you all next year!

Bazinga!

Looks like Dr. Sheldon Cooper can write another accomplishment on his CV. Researchers at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, in Brazil have named a new species of orchid bee after the aforementioned Dr. Cooper's famous catch-phrase, Bazinga!

Cricket 3- A Matter of Opinion

I'm sure we've all had one of these moments. The ones when something REALLY excites you so much, but no one else around can even appreciate why you find it so exciting. Of course, poor Cricket is not getting any sympathy from her roommate.

Sorry for the one-day delay. I left my flash drive at the office so I had to wait to post the new comic. I hope you guys aren't too made with me :-).

And just as an FYI for those who might not know: that little factoid in Panel Two ACTUALLY HAPPENS! Wasps and other organisms have been found to hijack the bodies of other animals so that they will do what the parasite wants them to do. Even become mindless guards over pupating larvae. That's right, caterpillar-zombies. Deliciously morbid, isn't it?
